Funselektor, the developer of hit indie racer Art of Rally, has revealed its new offroading title, Over the Hill.
Reteaming with Strekla Games, over the hill is an offroad exploration game that sees players use iconic vehicles from the 1960s, 70s, and 80s to traverse lush summer meadows, snowy mountain ranges, and other beautiful environments, all done in the signature minimalist style Funselektor nailed down with Art of Rally and last year’s F1-style sim Golden Lap.
Check out the announcement trailer below, which does make it seem like a wonderful experience.

The game will feature a day-and-night cycle and changing weather, ensuring the road to discovery is varied and potentially treacherous. As with previous minimalist games by Funselektor, the aim is immersion via a focus on the things that matter most to the experience rather than getting too bogged down in the granular.
Players won’t have to be alone on their expedition either, as others can be invited along to soak in the sights and help overcome obstacles along the way.
There’s no set release date for Over the Hill, but you can wishlist it on Steam.
