There's a certain unbeatable flair in watching multiple giant mechs crashing into each other with the backdrop of a sprawling metropolitan area backing them up. Override: Mech City Brawl aims to deliver just that sort of chaos to us.
Override: Mech City Brawl is planned to have a Closed Beta testing period this month, where players will have the chance to try out just what it's like for giant mechs to brawl it out in real time, whereas devs will collect valuable feedback on the overall balance of the game.
The closed beta will take place from 10th to 12th of August, and you still have the chance to sign up in case you're interested. Of the various characters available, devs have specifically singled-out the Pescado luchador-bot and the lizard mech MetaGeckon.
The video featured below will showcase what sort of stuff you can expect in the beta, but the full release is planned to be pretty stocked up on interesting stuff to fiddle with!
Developers intend to implement 12 different skyscraper-sized mechs (each with unique skills and abilities), loads of "arenas" modelled after real-world locations (think Tokyo, Egypt, Mexico...), party CO-OP, and the Garage, where you'll be able to customise the mechs to your liking.
