Palworld is set to launch on January 19th for PC through Steam’s Early Access and on Xbox Series X and Xbox One via Game Preview. Will players on both platforms have the option to play together through Crossplay or Cross-Platform support?</b>
Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like support is going to be available on launch, so players on Xbox platforms won’t be able to play with players on PC, even though its going to be available on Xbox Game Pass for both platforms.
When will Palworld support Crossplay in the future?
The developer Pocketpair hasn’t said too much about crossplay support for now, although it did briefly mention it in a Q&A article on the Steam store page, which mentions about the possibility of opening up support in the near future.
“Not at launch, but we are working to make this a possibility as soon as possible!
It’s likely that Pocketpair needs to resolve certain technical issues before enabling players on both Xbox platforms and PC to enjoy cross-platform play. The game offers cooperative play for up to four players, but with the establishment of a dedicated server, it becomes possible for as many as 32 players to join and play together.
We’ll keep you updated on any developments regarding the implementation of Cross-Platform support for Palworld between different platforms. Here’s hoping that PlayStation players will also have the opportunity to enjoy crossplay if it becomes available on this platform.
