Publisher Paradox Interactive today announced the acquisition of Surviving the Aftermath Developer Iceflake Studios.
The Tampere-based developer is the ninth studio owned and operated by Paradox Interactive, joining names like Harebrained Schemes, Triumph Studios, and Playrion Game Studio, which was acquired as early as last month.
Prior to working on Surviving the Aftermath, Iceflake Studios has developed titles for PC, consoles and mobile, including Ice Lakes, Premium Pool Arena, and Target Horizon.

“The collaborative efforts we’ve shared thus far with Iceflake have given us all the confidence that this is a natural fit”, Paradox Interactive COO Charlotta Nilsson said.
“Surviving the Aftermath fits the Paradox portfolio perfectly, and Iceflake has shown themselves to be the kind of partner who can help us create more titles in our core genres. Turning this relationship into a long-term partnership is an easy decision, and we’re eager to share more great games with our audience in the years to come.”.
Surviving the Aftermath remains an Epic Games Store exclusive until October, when it will also launch on Steam.
