Project Warlock is making its way to Steam tomorrow, December 6, developer Buckshot Software announced.
The retro-inspired FPS initially launched on GOG.com on October 18 and met its sales target of 10,000 units “in three weeks as opposed to the estimate three months period”. It’s quite a feat for a smaller project, given how busy the period tends to be.
The developer has also addressed the pricing issues for Australia and New Zealand, noting that conversion into local currency from Project Warlock’s $12/€11 price led to prices in the two regions being “unfavorably marked up.”. To that extent, prices on GOG.com will be adjusted to 17 AUS/18 NZD starting tomorrow.
Also starting tomorrow, any GOG.com owners of Project Warlock from Australia and New Zealand can apply for a full refund until the end of the month.
If you’ve yet to pick it up, it’s worth knowing that Project Warlock promises retro-fueled action across “60 vast levels”, all filled with keys, secret caches and hidden buttons to discover. The enemy roster includes a variety of baddies ranging “from flying demons to five-storeys robots,”, while an arsenal of 38 weapons and 12 perks lets players customize the main character.
