Rage 2 Increase Resolution Guide - How to stop Rage 2 looking blurry
Rage 2 looks great at almost all times, but it may not look so great when you first start the game. We were gripped by the story immediately, but we also noticed that something was completely off. The visuals looked incredibly blurry, despite most of the video options being turned up to maximum or Ultra. In fact, there were parts of the game that looked like Doom 3, such as close-ups on boxes. Increasing the resolution normally did nothing.
So what's the problem, and is it an easy fix? The good news is - yes, for Rage 2 PC owners it's absolutely an easy fix, you just have to increase resolution another way.
Simply go to the Video Options page and look for the option above - labelled 'Resolution Scale'. It's set to Auto by default. This lowers the resolution on certain things to keep the framerate up. We're not sure why, as for us it simply made everything blurry.
Turn this option to Off and Rage 2 should start looking good and non-blurry at last, and you can increase the resolution to your heart's content. Easy. Now, why was this on by default?
