Red Dead Redemption 2 PC is almost definitely coming sometime in the future - much like GTA V did - and the latest supposed leak which popped up on Youtube seemed to confirm that it is, in fact, pretty far along in development. While we hate to be the party poopers, we must argue otherwise.
Namely, there are a few things that are slightly off about this particular leak, and they seem to add up to the entirety of it being really, really good CGI. Down below, you'll find our reasoning for believing so.
"It's definitely fake," said one Youtube user. "You can hear that there is a hot mic, you can hear jostling, air movement, the camera moving, do you hear a mouse click even once? Do you hear the ESC key being hit when he's closing the menus?" The selective application of audio is definitely suspicious, but there's more.
The game build referenced in the video says that it's RDR2 PC build 1116.8, which is the console launch build, but there's been two patched builds released since, and we also know that Rockstar tends to completely re-build PC versions of their games instead of straight-up porting console releases.
Finally, the video in question has since been taken down, though not by Take-Two, but by the uploader themselves, who has also chosen to nuke their Youtube account as well. Odd, to be sure, as you'd expect the developer and the publisher themselves to act. While we are definitely leaning to this all being a fake, do note that we may well be wrong. What do you think?
