Resident Evil 2 Remake has intrigued a staggering amount of players, the peak number of concurrent players on Steam alone being over 70k at the time of writing.
Aside from delivering amazing gameplay and a fascinating nostalgia trip, Resident Evil 2 Remake also offers a bit of a meta-game at ResidentEvil.net - a website dedicated to tracking various statistics from players who've engaged with the title in this way or the other.
At the time of writing, players across the world have played Resident Evil 2 Remake for a grand total of 1869 years, simultaneously walking the distance equivalent to that it'd take to reach the planet of Venus in 4 days. The most impressive statistic, however, is that of how many zombies players have destroyed since release.
Furthermore, players have killed 134,460,379 zombies in RE2R, having taken down an equivalent to the entire population of Japan in no more than 5 days of playing the game. Now, if those aren't some impressive statistics, we don't know what they are. Disconcerting, perhaps?
Keep an eye on these, and many other stats at Resident Evil.net, but if farming brutal zombie takedowns and discarding green herbs willy-nilly isn't quite what you're looking for in a Resident Evil release, check out what we know so far about the upcoming DLC!
