Throwing players into a snowy, mountainous region that's about to be beset by an apocalyptic snowstorm, and with no way to get out short of making a mad dash for the single helicopter with four free seats, it's clear what the setup for this battle royale is.
As you may be aware, Ring of Elysium has been available in Asia for some time now, and is only now being officially released worldwide on Steam. Come 19th of September, you'll be able to have a go at snowboarding and paragliding for the first time ever in a battle royale!
Of course, there will be your usual selection of shotty-totties and vehicles to choose from, too, but considering the setting, you'll also have the chance to trigger avalanches and interact with the environment in ways both expected and unexpected.
Ring of Elysium is going to be released as a fully free-to-play battle royale, as is usually the case with this type of game, and given its rather innovative take on this tired sub-genre, there's really no reason for you not to give it a shot, if nothing else.
