Risk of Rain 2's various bits and baubles - each of which provides you with a different passive effect - are most of the time hidden away in chests and lockers. In most cases, these loot troves can be opened simply by interacting with them, but some are more elusive, however.
Risk of Rain 2 10 minute chest is one of these unlocks, and requires of you to reach it in 10 minutes if you're playing solo, or in 15 minutes if you're in multiplayer. Thing is - reaching the timed chest is no small feat in ROR 2, so we've decided to prepare a primer for you to consult before attempting a timed run.
Risk of Rain 2 10 Minute Chest Location
It's simple on paper - just get to the chest in 10 minutes or less, and you're set. Given that the game throws a ridiculous amount of stuff to get through in that timespan, however, this is more complicated than it might sound - for a variety of reasons. Not only does the chest spawn semi-randomly, but don't forget that you also must find the randomly-positioned Teleporter on each level, and then kill the boss before moving along, too.
Here are some tips to help you out with this task:
- play on the easiest difficulty
- run through levels as fast as humanly possible
- ignore everything but the Teleporter
- restart if you don't reach the third area in 8:30
Now, the 10-minute chest is located in the third Risk of Rain 2 biome - Rallypoint Delta - and can appear in a wide variety of places. Players report that it is most often found close to the antenna array, on top of the winding cave. However, the chest may also spawn at the bottom of that very same cliff, close to the fence. One of the cargo containers in the central area of the map may also have it, too. Chances are that more spawn locations exist as well, but it would probably be wise to start with these and move to other locations once you've already checked them out.
