New Hidden Realms and the Beads of Fealty item were added to Risk of Rain 2 as part of its third major content update since entering Early Access. But how do you unlock these new areas and what are the beads for?
Here’s everything we know about how to unlock Hidden Realms in Risk of Rain 2 and the purpose of the Beads of Fealty.
Risk of Rain 2 Beads of Fealty Unlock Hidden Realms
Two new Hidden Realms were introduced to Risk of Rain 2 in the update with the same name and we’ve already covered how to unlock one of them.
Reaching the Void Fields Hidden Realm is actually required to unlock the new character, Acrid.
You do so by using a Lunar Shrine to visit the Bazaar Between Realms. Instead of entering it, you drop down on a platform below.
From there, follow the platforms towards the light green glow, enter the portal at the end and you’ll find yourself in the Hidden Realm. The guide linked above covers what you can expect while inside.
Unlocking Risk of Rain 2’s other new Hidden Realm actually involves the Beads of Fealty item. It can only be obtained from Lunar Pods or, with a bit of luck, the Bazaar Between realms, from what we can tell.
Once you have the Beads of Fealty, you’ll want to reach the A Moment, Fractured Hidden Realm. You do so by using the Celestial Portal that spawns every four levels starting at level 7.
You know you’ll get a Celestial Portal when a Celestial Orb circles that level’s teleporter. Successfully defeating the enemies that spawn then opens the Celestial Portal.
Inside the A Moment, Fractured Hidden Realm, you’ll find an Obelisk at the top of the island. Interacting with it gives you the option of Obliterating yourself from existence.
Doing so with the Beads of Fealty on you is how you reach the new A Moment, Whole Hidden Realm.
Inside the A Moment, Whole Hidden Realm, you’ll find one of four Twisted Scavengers. They each seem to have their own pool of items and, defeating any Scavenger, also earns you 10 Lunar Coins, while ending your run.
