Risk of Rain 2 may have only just made its way to Steam's Early Access, but that doesn't mean it's lacking in content. For example, the game has already got a number of unique characters to unlock and play with.
The case with ROR 2 is the contrary, in fact, and with that in mind, here's how to unlock characters in Risk of Rain 2.
How to Unlock Risk of Rain 2 Characters
Instead of bogging you down with superfluous information, here's a lightweight guide on how to unlock each of Risk of Rain 2's characters:
The Huntress: Successfully finish at least three zones in a row.
MUL-T: Beat the level-one teleporter boss five different times in five different matches.
The Mercenary: Find the Celestial Portal (spawns randomly), move through it, reach the massive Obelisk, and then die by interacting with it.
Engineer: Successfully finish 30 zones across as many matches as you want.
The Artificer: Spawn the Lunar Portal (interact with a suspicious-looking blue rock that appears randomly) with 11 Lunar Coins in your inventory. Then, defeat the Blue Orb boss that spawns after spending 1 Coin, which will open a blue Lunar Portal for you. Go through it, find the vendor NPC, and give them the remaining 10 Lunar Coins.
