Risk of Rain 2 throws too many items at you to keep careful track of, with most of them being fairly interesting as well. Wake of Vultures, however, grants you a particularly curious effect.
Risk of Rain 2 Wake of Vultures is a Legendary-tier item (red glow) which means you won't be getting it all that often, but when you do, you'll be happy that you did.
What does Wake of Vultures do in Risk of Rain 2?
According to its description, Wake of Vultures allows players to 'gain the power of any killed Elite monster for 8s', with every additional stack you get netting you 5 more seconds of power retention. The game's Elite monsters come in different shapes and forms, though the effects themselves aren't as varied as you might expect.
This isn't a bad thing, mind, because it keeps things moderately simple for those times that you do manage to take down an Elite while using the Wake of Vultures. For example, when you kill an Ice Elite monster, Wake of Vultures will grant you additional ice damage effect for the given time period. It does stack up, given time and opportunity.
Wake of Vultures may not be the best Legendary pickup in Risk of Rain 2, but it is definitely quite handy when push comes to shove. If you wanna find it, though, you'll just have to keep your fingers crossed.
