Publisher and developer Gleamer Studio has unveiled Settlement Survival’s early access roadmap, giving players a better idea of the content they can expect in the first half of 2022.
Settlement Survival’s early access roadmap builds on the 10 patches the title has already received while leaning into player feedback by promising reworked systems, new maps and modes, alongside richer story content.
November and December 2021’s changes include a rework of the game’s storage and trading systems, the addition of a random event feature and five new NPC factions, alongside a partial rework of the user interface.
Settlement Survival’s early access roadmap aims to rework the immigration system in Q1 2022, replacing its current form with new mechanics while adding tourism and a way to track your city’s attraction.
Attracting foreign populations to your settlement, improves citizen happiness, resulting in more income sources.
New machining features like batch processing and automatic processing logic are also on the slate for Q1 2022, as are new wonders, spectacle buildings, climate-based maps, and a game mode “combining different cultural elements.”
Dangerous wildlife, new domesticated pets, and “rare products” waiting to be discovered are also on Settlement Survival’s Q1 2022 early access roadmap.
Moving into the second quarter of next year, the developer will shift focus to an all-new story mode that reworks Easter Island.
The goal is to provide a richer narrative experience, allowing players to try their hand at surviving the Ice Age as the Last Vikings, challenging environments as the Anasazi, and the Black Death as the Europeans.
As with all roadmaps, things can change over the coming months. Nonetheless, the first part of 2022 is looking rather eventful if you’re a fan of the game.
Settlement Survival is available now on PC through Steam Early Access.
