Slime Rancher 2 has now entered early access, and so it’s looking to be a true sequel to the award-winning original, letting players explore the all-new Rainbow Island and grind for all new slimes.
If you’re new to ranching, there’s a lot to learn, and it’s not always spelt out. In this guide, we’ll go into Radiant Ore, looking into what it’s for and its location.
Slime Rancher 2 Radiant Ore Location Guide
To start with, Radiant Ore is a refinery resource that you can use to unlock the Jetpack in The Fabricator, making it an essential upgrade to explore more of the world.
The best place to find Radiant Ore early on is in Ember Valley, which can be found by heading west from The Conservatory and travelling through the portal.
But, this isn’t as easy as it sounds, as the portal is locked behind a Pink Gordo Slime. These slimes are immovable but will explode if you feed them enough fruit or veg.
With this done, you can unlock the portal behind the Gordo and travel by stepping into it. Once in Ember Valley, the Radiant Ore can be found in random locations around the area. However, it is quite rare, and you will likely fill up on other materials and have to make several trips.
You can make this and gathering other crafting materials easier by grabbing a Refinery Link from the fabricator. The Link allows you to place a gadget down in the world that sends your resources directly to The Conservatory, saving you from making the journey back.
