Publisher Iceberg Interactive and developer Pawley Games today announced that sci-fi role-playing strategy game Star Dynasties has locked down its Steam Early Access release date to March 16.
Star Dynasties is Pawley Games’ debut title and sees players leading a powerful political family across multiple generations. Set centuries after Earth’s destruction, the remaining human colonies are organized in feudal societies, each vying for power but “unable to comprehend or advance the technological artefacts they use to survive.”
The strategy game places heavy emphasis on choice, allowing players to take different paths in their efforts to ensure their empire’s survival. Conquest, diplomacy, and espionage are all available tools to further your goals. Your actions decide how your people and other leaders react to you.
Regardless if you forge your characters into ruthless despots, benevolent diplomats, or cunning spies, you’ll have to manage both human drama and deal with Star Dynasties’ light empire management layer. Here is a list of features you can expect from the title, as described on the Steam page:
- Take on the role of the head of a political family through multiple generations, and lead it to dominance over the remnants of human civilization
- Experience an emergent narrative of personal and political drama
- Uphold the traditions and laws of society and earn a reputation for honor, or seize power and risk turning the galaxy against you
- Interact with hundreds of characters with realistic personalities, emotions, and relationships
- Punish those that have wronged you, and reward your allies
