Star Wars Battlefront 2 continues to be popular thanks to its steady release of new content and fun events, but the latest event seems to be having some problems. The Star Wars Battlefront 2 It's Not Impossible event was supposed to start today, October 11, at 00:01 CEST time - long since past as we write this. The event is how you unlock the Farmboy Luke skin for Luke Skywalker. There's also another event running at the same time for a special Darth Maul emote - and that also seems to be bugged. We've got the answer below.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 Farmboy Luke Skin not unlocking or is the event bugged?
The special event to unlock the Farmboy Luke skin was supposed to begin today, October 11, at 00:01 CEST - which was over 13 hours ago as we write this, so the event should be well underway. Players needed to get 150 kills in the game's new Co-op Mode, and the new skin should just unlock.
However, players have been reporting that the event has still not started, and many have already passed the 150 kills mark in Co-op mode and their tally is still showing 0/150. We ourselves went into Star Wars Battlefront 2 and saw no signs the event was happening - or the Darth Maul emote event either, which was supposed to be running at the same time. We played a round of Co-op, and our tally didn't move either.
Clearly, the event is bugged - for everyone. The Battlefront community team investigated these problems, and concluded that the problem was down to a patch which was supposed to go live - but is now due for next week, so the event has been postponed.
When will the Star Wars Battlefront 2 Farmboy Luke Skin event start now?
The Battlefront community team has apologized for this, and now both Farmboy Luke and Darth Maul Kenobi emote events will happen October 15 in the afternoon - sometime post 10am CEST.
Here's what EA Community Manager 'F8RGE' on the forum had to say when it happened:
"As you are aware the two special quests for Farmboy Luke and the Kenobi! Emote were due to start a few hours ago. Unfortunately it appears that a vital component for them to work was hidden within our patch that was due to go live this week.
To summarise, because we moved the patch the quests did not have all the info they needed to function correctly. As a result of this we will be moving the special events to early next week just after the deployment of the patch.
We understand that it's disappointing and can only apologise. With no in-game events this weekend we have decided to enable x3 EXP. We'll be back early next week with the patch deployment times, the patch itself and these two quests."
