UPDATE: The bad news is that the new Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order trailer did not show Darth Vader, as seemingly teased. The good news is that the trailer showed off more of the game's story, and even gave a glimpse at the way players will be able to travel between multiple planets - similar to Borderlands 3.
Other than space travel, we also saw several boss encounters, more of the melee combat, several planets, a Jedi temple, some gameplay that looks straight out of Uncharted and Shadow of the Colossus, and more of the Inquisitors. It's look pretty special. Check it out:
ORIGINAL STORY, SEPTEMBER 25: Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is the bright hope for Star Wars videogame fans after all the troubles with Star Wars Battlefront 2, and it's about to get a brand new trailer. In advance of this, EA has released a short Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order teaser - which seems to be the reveal of Darth Vader.
It's very short, but it shows a dark figure ignite a red lightsaber before slowly marching towards ex-Jedi heroes Cal Kestis and Cere. As we detail below, this figure is very clearly the first Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order Darth Vader appearance, making his long-awaited first showing in the game.

While at first glance it could be the main antagonist the Second Sister, a black-clad Inquisitor who also wields a red lightsaber (albeit a dual one, like Darth Maul), the tweet's text consists of a quote which clearly calls this character a "he" - "He's searching for something...something very precious to the Empire." At the same time, the music snippet playing over the scene? Darth Vader's theme.
The appearance of Darth Vader in Jedi Fallen Order would make sense. The time period of the game is set between Episodes III-IV, where Vader is active and is the head of the Inquisitors hunting main character Cal Kestis, and his main drive is to eliminate the Jedi. In a game about Jedi, there's really no way Fallen Order could get away with not featuring Vader.
We'll presumably see the full, proper confirmation of Darth Vader in the new trailer tomorrow. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order itself has a release date of November 15.
