We're looking forward to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, the big upcoming Star Wars game from Apex Legends and Titanfall creators Respawn, but we don't know much about it yet. Now it's just been revealed that the Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order writer is none other than Chris Avellone.
Avellone's credits include Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2, Fallout 2 and Fallout New Vegas, Planescape Torment, Divinity Original Sin 2, Prey, and loads more. He may even be working on the new Vampire the Masquerade game...
Considering the air of secrecy surrounding Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order, it's surprising how we got this information - Chris Avellone told everyone as part of a Twitter reply to the casual question, "so, what are you working on Chris?"
I can't say 100% b/c of NDAs, but the ones I can say: I just finished up work with Jedi: The Fallen Order - and beyond that, there's another big bomb dropping in a month! Er, I mean, maybe. Ahem.

It's extremely exciting news that Avellone is working on Jedi Fallen Order, especially with the big reveal of the game coming this April. As the writer of the hugely underrated Knights of the Old Republic 2, which often gets overshadowed by BioWare's first game (but in our opinion KOTOR2 has the better story), this promises big things for Respawn's Star Wars title.
However, it's the second part of that tweet which also intrigues us. A big game being revealed next month? Could it be the rumoured new Vampire The Masquerade game that is being revealed next month? When asked about this and to reply with a wink if he is, Avellone replied "Shhhhhh—also, the undead don't wink."
Finally, as PC Gamer spotted, Avellone's LinkedIn profile not only shows that he was indeed working with Respawn for the past year, but also he's also been working with Hardsuit Labs - who are part owned by Paradox (who own the Vampire IP) and are rumored to be the studio working on the new Vampire game. Avellone also notes that he was "working tenderly with other developers", which is a bizarre comment for a LinkedIn resume - until you remember that Tender is the name of the dating site which is the front for the ARG for the new Vampire game.
Interesting news for Star Wars fans and undead creatures of the night alike, and we're sure there's some crossover there.
