Disney is premiering an upcoming Star Wars TV show inside Fortnite, making it available to players two days before it releases on streaming platforms.
Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld will debut its first two episodes inside Fortnite’s Star Wars Watch Party island, where they will be available to watch for 48 hours before they hit Disney Plus.

This isn’t the first time Disney has teased an upcoming release in Fortnite. Back in 2019, an event which teased the return of Palpatine in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker was featured and tied-in to the then-upcoming movie.
Tales of the Underworld is the third season of Star Wars’ Tales of series, a set of animated anthology shorts telling different stories in the Star Wars universe. The first season focused on the Jedi, while the second focused on the Galactic Empire.
The series’ debut coincides with Fortnite: Galactic Battle, an event debuting on May 2nd that features new Star Wars-related content coming to the game each week.
In addition, players will be able to unlock a First Order Stormtrooper outfit by linking their Epic Games account with their MyDisney account. Epic Games has also teased that more collaboration content is coming soon.
The Star Wars Watch Party island goes live on May 2nd at 10:00 AM ET, with the first two episodes of Tales of the Underworld available to watch there. The show will then be released on Disney+ two days later, on May 4, 2025.
