Starship Troopers: Extermination is a recently released team-based first-person shooter from Offworld Industries. Set in the hostile world of Valaka, players will take control of an elite unit of troopers and battle it out with the alien bugs using a variety of weapons, perks, and equipment.
The game allows 18 players to join together and fight to survive. Considering this is a multiplayer game, the real question is: does it support crossplay? Read on if you’re wondering whether you can play this game with friends on different platforms.
Does Starship Troopers: Extermination Have Crossplay?
Unfortunately, there is no crossplay support in Starship Troopers: Extermination at launch. However, based on recent Steam FAQs, Offworld Industries has not ruled out a console release and crossplay in the future. So, while the game is being released on PC at launch, the developers may decide to enable crossplay down the line.
Crossplay is becoming increasingly popular in the gaming industry. Many games have enabled this feature in recent years, including Rocket League, Fortnite, and Call of Duty: Warzone. With this feature enabled, players on PC, Xbox, and Playstation can join the same game and play together. This would be an excellent feature for Starship Troopers: Extermination, as it would allow for larger, more varied teams.
If you’re looking for crossplay support in Starship Troopers: Extermination, then you’ll have to wait and see what Offworld Industries decides to do. For now, though, the game will only be available on PC at launch. Keep checking back for more information on a potential console release and crossplay support.
