Chimera Entertainment has today revealed its next game; Songs of Silence.
Songs of Silence is a Fantasy real-time strategy game with RPG elements and features music from Final Fantasy Tactics and Valkyria Chronicles composer Hitoshi Sakimoto.
It will contain story-led campaigns with short bursts of real-time combat, and will be served with a side of turn-based kingdom management, exploration, and character development. Players can choose from a selection of heroes who bring their own ‘battle cards’ into the fracas to take down enemy factions.
The game’s maps will be randomly generated to give a bit of longevity and unpredictability over multiple playthroughs, and each map can be conquered or lost in the space of a single sitting.
“Songs of Silence offers a fresh spin on card-based mechanics. Instead of collecting and building a deck, cards represent the unique actions granted by heroes and locations. Each faction and hero has their own distinct play style on the turn-based strategic map and in real-time combat. Choose from hundreds of cards ranging from burning down entire cities to spreading the life-devouring Silence: The options are nearly limitless.”
Lead powerful armies and explore randomly generated maps. Use our unique movement system to outwit your opponents and lay deadly ambushes by hiding in the terrain. Manage scarce resources to rebuild the ravaged land and defeat your rival kingdoms.
The release date for Songs of Silence is tentatively poised as coming soon, so hopefully, before the Summer kicks in all being well.
