Publisher Square Enix and developer Team Ninja today revealed Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin’s release date while announcing that its PC version will be an Epic Games Store exclusive.
Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin was first revealed during E3 2021 and quickly spawned a plethora of memes based on its protagonist’s often declared desire to kill chaos. The trailer shown during Tokyo Games Show 2021, when its Epic Games Store exclusive status was also revealed, features considerably less of that, doing a better job of shining the light on the game’s characters and its intense battles.
In it, we can see some of the jobs and equipment we’ll get to use when Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin launches, the title letting players customize their party to suit their preferred playstyle.
The trailer also shows off a few more of its enemies, some more monstrous than others. The game will also feature multiple difficulty options which could suggest a more lenient take on things when compared to Nioh, the developer’s popular souls-like series.
Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin launches on March 18, 2022, and is headed to PC, via the Epic Games Store, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, and PS4. Pre-orders are now live, as is a second demo that’s, sadly, only available on current-gen consoles.
