Strategic Command WWII: World at War is the logical evolution of the previous game in the series, Strategic Command WWII: War in Europe, bolstering tons of additional features, better graphics, and a vastly-improved AI.
Promising a chance to re-fight the 20th century's greatest conflict, spanning from Poland to China, Fury Software intend to deliver a wargaming experience that's both familiar and innovative at the same time, and it's up to you to take command and change history, if you so desire.
While Strategic Command WWII: World at War will play out its many combat scenarios on a traditional top-down hex-based map spanning the entire globe, players will have a chance to employ both 3D unit graphics and the usual NATO counters, depending on their preferences.
The game will also feature a number of new gameplay additions, ranging from the ability to partially wrap up naval repairs all the way to employing Kamikaze forces in your attacks. Naturally, this means that players will have the chance to side either with the Axis or with the Allies.
Players will also be able to partition off certain aspects of global warfare for the advanced AI to handle on their own, so that they can focus on their favourite theatres instead. Add various Decision Events and an active modding community, and you've got a recipe for success in Strategic Command WWII: World at War.
Strategic Command WWII: World at War release date, however, is still pending, so stay tuned.
