Stray introduces you to Zurks fairly early during your time in its cybercity. They might seem cute at first, but they can quickly chomp your health down to zero. For a while, you’ll have to use your agility against them but, later in the game when exploring Doc’s hideout, you can find the location of a weapon that can actually kill the creatures.
The journey to finding Stray’s Zurk weapon location starts in Doc’s lab, which is located in chapter 6, behind a secret door in Seamus’ apartment. You need a safe code to open it and grab a broken tracker from a box on top of a square shelf. Once you get it repaired as part of the main quest, the next step involves finding Doc and the Zurk weapon location.
Stray Doc's Hideout Zurk Weapon Location
You can reach Doc’s hideout in Stray’s seventh chapter, Dead End. The road to the Zurk weapon location involves evading the pesky creatures and a fair bit of platforming.
Once you make it inside Doc’s hideout, head downstairs and introduce yourself. From the table where Doc was resting, make a right, then turn backwards and go past the open wooden doors. Hop on the desk to your right and interact with the unusual yellow tool.
Doc then chimes in, explaining it is the Defluxor, and it can “explode Zurks like confetti.” If you guessed that this was the Zurk weapon location in Doc’s Lab, you’re right. But there is another extra step before adding it to the tools you can use in Stray.
The generator outside needs powering up, so you have to follow the yellow cable to it, replace the fuse, then head back as Doc protects you against the onslaught of Zurks using the weapon’s light.
Make it back to the house and he will install the Defluxor on your backpack, allowing you to kill Zurks yourself. Just keep in mind that you can only use it in short bursts, otherwise it overloads, leaving you only with the option of running away.
That’s what you need to know about where in Doc’s Hideout you can find Stray’s Zurk weapon location. For more help with the game, here’s how long it took us to complete it alongside what we know about whether or not it’s coming to Xbox Game Pass.
