Upon returning to Stray’s slums and figuring out how to reach Doc’s secret room, you’ll find yourself with a broken tracker in your backpack. To repair it, you’ll need to find resident tech wiz Elliot and help him get warm by obtaining a poncho.
Getting the poncho in Stray isn’t as easy as picking it up from one of the city’s alleyways. You’ll need to find an NPC named Grandma and bring her an electrical cable which, in turn, requires you to find some Super Spirit detergent. If you’re having trouble with any step of the process, read on below, as we cover it in its entirety. Be warned that there may be minor spoilers for Stray’s Slums part 2 chapter.
Stray Poncho
As you leave Seamus’ apartment, make your way back to the area with the Guardian by going left. Use the nearby vending machine to reach the rooftops, then move forward and to the right until you reach the two Companions throwing paint buckets to each other.
Approach them and press Q, then left alt as they throw a bucket to make them drop it. This makes a mess on the street, prompting the Companion inside the laundry to exit and start cleaning the paint while leaving the door wide open.
Go inside, climb the table right next to the entrance, and pick up the Stray’s Super Spirit detergent.
From there, head back to the merchant by making a right, going up the stairs, and making another right. Trade the detergent for Stray’s electric cable.
Head back down the stairs, past the Companion leaning against the vending machine, and make a left, then a right.
Approach the Companion sitting on the chair. That’s Grandma and she’s pretty direct when it comes to her ability to craft a poncho for Stray’s furry protagonist if you bring her an electric cable.
Give the item to her and you’ll receive the poncho. Turn around, go up the set of three stairs, and scratch the door immediately to your left.
Head inside, then upstairs, and you’ll spot a shivering Companion. That’s Elliot. Give him the poncho and he’ll repair your broken tracker.
