Street Fighter 6 is bound to make June more exciting for fighting game fans, giving the long-running series a much-needed refresh. Better yet, eager fans can get a taste of how it plays in its open beta, whose start and end dates happen to be right around the corner.
Street Fighter 6’s open beta keeps things short and sweet, running over the course of a single weekend in the second half of May. Read on below to learn more about its start and end dates, the characters we can play as, the stages we can use as battle arenas, and more.
Street Fighter 6 Open Beta
Street Fighter 6’s open beta has locked down its start date and time to May 19 at 12 AM PT/3 AM ET/8 AM BST. Its end date is set to occur on May 21 at 12 PM PT/3 PM ET/8 PM BST.

Available on PC, Xbox Series X | S, and PS5, it is confirmed to feature crossplay, so you’ll be able to match up with players on other platforms while it’s live. |
The available content will be identical to that of the second closed beta test from back in December 2022.
This means that we’ll be able to sample character creation ranked, casual, and battle hub matches, open tournaments, training mode, the hub goods shop, extreme battles, the game center, challenges, DJ booth, and photo spot.
As the roster of characters goes, we’ll be able to select from the following eight:
- Luke
- Jamie
- Ryu
- Chun-Li
- Guile
- Kimberly
- Juri
- Ken
Aside from the Training Room, we’ll be able to use five other stages as our fighting arenas: Metro City Downtown, Genbu Temple, Carrier Byron Taylor, Tian Hong Yuan, and The Macho Ring.
