Super Mario Wonder’s UK physical sales have surpassed Marvel’s Spider-Man 2’s in the past week, putting Nintendo’s latest game at the top of the charts.
The two titles traded spots on the GfK charts after Spider-Man 2 took the top spot during their debut week.
Super Mario Wonder UK Physical Sales
As spotted by GamesIndustry.biz, quoting a GfK report, the switch comes as both high-profile releases experienced a drop in sales when compared to last week – Super Mario Wonder by 55%, Spider-Man 2 by 69%.
Two new entries made their way to the UK boxed charts during the week concluding on October 28. Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol 1 landed on the fourth position, while EA Sports UFC 5 secured the fifth spot.
Hogwarts Legacy is still selling well, coming in eight, while Assassin’s Creed Mirage and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe remain on the fifth and sixth positions respectively.
The last two games in the top ten list also traded places, with Nintendo Switch Sports ranking ninth, and Minecraft’s Switch version dropping to the tenth position.
While physical sales are often lower than their digital counterparts, they still provide a way to track the popularity of certain titles.
It will be interesting to see how well Super Mario Wonder and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 fare over the course of November, a month that won’t be as jam-packed with major game launches.
