Tech Support: Error Unknown is a game about being a newly hired tech support specialist whose job is simply to resolve customer issues as they pop up. Simple enough, right? Well, no, because the protagonist soon gets contacted by a group of hacktivists who are attempting to bring the company down.
The game is played through a series of interfaces created to ape the ones that IT actually employ to fix issues, though streamlined to make for better, more comprehensive and understandable gameplay mechanics. In that regard, Tech Support: Error Unknown is a bit of a puzzle game.
Billed as 'an adventure game with simulation and puzzle mechanics', Tech Support: Error Unknown places you in front of a virtual computer, offering you all the tools you need to communicate with the simulated customers via a novel procedurally-generated dialogue system.
Players will have to engage with both customers and colleagues using the tools they've been given, choose their approach to any given situation in the sandbox, decide who to side with, unlock their system's potential, and lots more.
Tech Support: Error Unknown is currently planned for release sometime in February of 2019, and we are very much looking forward to pushing its many procedural systems to their limits.
