Terra Invicta, the sci-fi grand strategy game developed by Pavonis Interactive, known for the Long War mods for XCOM, is set to launch on PC Game Pass on March 26th.
The game focuses on an extraterrestrial invasion of the solar system, effectively blending the 4X genre with XCOM and the sci-fi TV series The Expanse from 2015.
With a complexity akin to Crusader Kings, it’s the sort of game that adding to your PC Game Pass could easily satisfy your gaming needs for months as you micromanage the politics of an alien invasion.
When is Terra Invicta available on Game Pass?
Terra Invicta is available in early access for PC via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store for $39.99 / £34.99 / €39.9. It will come to the game preview program on PC Game Pass on 26th March.
Since launching in early access in September 2022, this alien invasion simulator has undergone continuous updates and improvements, likely fueled by its sales of nearly 200,000 copies, no doubt pleasing its publisher, Hooded Horse.
Developer Pavonis Interactive is making good progress and should soon release out of early access with version 1.0.
Terra Invicta joins titles such as Against the Storm and the upcoming Manor Lords, which will be available on Game Pass.
The game has seven factions and each one comes with their own unique end goal and playstyle, as outlined in these brief descriptions provided by Hooded Horse:
- The Resistance works to form an alliance of nations to mount a coordinated defense.
- Humanity First vows to exterminate the aliens alongside any who sympathize with them.
- The Servants worship the aliens and believe they will solve all the troubles of the world.
- The Protectorate advocates negotiated surrender as the only means to avoid annihilation.
- The Academy hopes the alien arrival heralds the opportunity to form an interstellar alliance.
- The Initiative seeks to profit from the chaos and destruction.
- Project Exodus plans to build a massive starship and flee the Solar System.
There’s a 30% discount for Terra Invicta on Steam for the Spring Sale.
