The First Descendant beta has just kicked off on Steam, and if you didn’t get a beta key, watching Twitch might be the way to get one quickly, as developer Nexon Games has announced the Twitch Drops that will be enabled for viewers, and fans of the new game.
All you have to do is watch your favourite streamer for fifteen minutes, and you can get a beta key, but there’s a lot more, and people who are playing the beta can gain in-game gold, and weapons, by watching Twitch streamers for varying amounts of time.
The First Descendant Twitch drops Rewards
After you’ve watched the fifteen minutes to get a beta key, double that to thirty minutes and you’ll get 100,000 in-game gold. If you watch for an hour, you’ll get 250,000 gold and 5000 Qulipothium (an in-game currency). However, it’s the 90 minutes and 2 hour times that’s where things get interesting, as you’ll unlock the 60 Caliber and 600 Calilber respectively.
- Steam Beta Key | Watch The First Descendant Stream for 15 Minutes

- 250,000 Gold & 5000 Qulipothium | Watch The First Descendant Stream for 1 Hour

Nexon has also opened the official Discord Channel, which will keep players up to date on the beta, while also offering a place for fans to get together and chat.
The developer suggests players of the third-person looter-shooter will have plenty of reasons to keep playing as “new equipment develops character growth by combining various pieces, enhancing character and firearm stats, or adding a new ability”. You can “obtain new items through clearing scenario missions or in the world missions where cooperation is crucial”, too.
Running for six days, The First Descendant beta is live right now and will give pretty much a full week to play until it closes on Wednesday, October 26 at just before midnight, or 07:59 BST. As well as getting to try out the title early, the beta will give you a chance to unlock the “Frost Walker Hunter” title when it launches, by completing a specific mission during the beta period.
