The Outer Worlds contains a heck of a lot of quests, and some of them have some really significant rewards - such as The Outer Worlds Weapons from the Void mission. You pick up this mission quite early in the game, but it can be a pain. How do you get the Groundbreaker Science Weapon?
If you've been exploring Captain Hawthorne's logs on the Unreliable, you'll hear him describe two powerful Science weapons. One of them is on Phineas Welles' ship, the other is on the Groundbreaker - your first stop after Edgewater. But where is it? How do you get the Prismatic Hammer? Here's how.
How to complete The Outer Worlds Weapons from the Void quest and get the Groundbreaker Science Weapon
Once you've got the Weapons from the Void quest you can go investigating. Science Weapons are tremendously powerful, and the first one you can find in the game is on the Groundbreaker. Apparently a scientist there has the weapon, but where are they? The only clue you're given is that Gladys' shop in the Rest-N-Go might have details.
If you explore a bit and check some terminals, you'll find mention of a scientist who locked himself away somewhere off Dock 13 - which is where the Unreliable is. If you look at the map (above) on the left just past the Customs checkpoint there's a large area. However, if you head here you'll find a barred door and a rest area - you seemingly can't enter the locked area.
Check the map again. Notice how the rest area seems to contain another entrance to the large area behind the locked door? But where is it? Just above the row of beds. Look immediately left as you enter the rest area, and you'll see a pile of boxes you can jump up. Do so.
Follow this path through the vent hole, and you'll be in the locked area - with a few bandits, including one in a mech suit! Take these guys out, and search them - one of them will have a keycard, which opens another locked door on the right. Head through, and you'll find the Prismatic Hammer Science Weapon! Congratulations, you've completed this side of the quest!
