Earlier this month, Total War: Warhammer 3’s early adopter bonus was revealed as the Ogre Kingdoms Race Pack, putting an end to much player speculation.
After learning about their two brutal leaders, we now have a clear picture of how the faction’s unit roster list looks, confirming that mass and muscle are pretty important in Ogre society.
Players who choose Total War: Warhammer 3’s Ogre Kingdoms as a playable faction get to pick between two Legendary Lords to lead its hordes into battle. Greasus Goldtooth grew up to be strong and fat, then chose to kill and eat his father, as most well-behaved children do.

That’s, possibly, one reason why he benefits from diplomatic bonuses with other Ogre Kingdoms factions and higher income from trade. He rolls into battle on his custom-made, gnoblar-pushed cart, which is used to display the riches gained from raiding, looting, or sacking settlements – all activities for which he has quite a knack.
Skrag the Slaughterer, on the other hand, benefits from a slightly higher campaign movement ranged while being able to field more Butchers that also start at a higher rank. Since he bears the title of Prophet of the Great Maw, he can use spells from the Lore of the Great Maw, which include single-target buffs and debuffs, heals, alongside a massive explosion that channels the full might of the Maw.
In terms of Lords, Total War: Warhammer 3’s Ogre Kingdoms have two options on their unit roster list. Tyrants lead individual tribes, dominating their peers through sheer size and brawn. Killing routed units also grants them access to three abilities, including an area spell that decreases the acceleration, speed, and charge speed of opponents, a buff that makes units cause terror while granting additional armor-piercing weapon damage, base weapon damage, and a powerful regenerative effect.
Slaughtermasters are the best Butchers around, so you can expect them to be ruthless warriors that can also use the Lore of the Great Maw or Lore of Beasts.
All Ogre units cause fear due to their sheer size, which is a good thing since they make up the majority of the Ogre Kingdoms’ unit roster list. That being said, they also let expendable Gnoblars tag along, while also relying on powerful beasts like Stonehorns and fast ones like the Sabretusk to tear their opponents to shreds.
Despite their preference for eating over learning, they managed to put together two different pieces of artillery that provide long-range support. The sheer mass of their armies results in more devastating charges and, on the campaign map, you’ll tap into their mercenary nature, fulfilling contracts and relying on nomadic camps to get as much plunder as possible.
