Whimsy and darkness coexist in Towers of Aghasba, an open-world sandbox game that challenges us to help the Shimu people reclaim their homeland from a malevolent force called the withered. If the title happens to have made its way on your radar, there’s a good chance that you’re wondering if it will release on Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch.
Towers of Aghasba’s announcement trailer showcased its whimsical world alongside some fairly impressive villages that we’ll be able to build and freely customize. It’s also when we learned that its early access version is headed to both PC, via Steam, and PS5.
Towers of Aghasba Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch Release
This left many wondering whether or not Towers of Aghasba will be released on Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch when it is slated to first become available.
Based on what we know so far, that does not seem to be the case. Developer Dreamlit inc. hasn’t discussed plans to make the game available on other platforms in November 2024, when early access is slated to begin.

Furthermore, the two consoles’ respective storefronts do not currently list the title in any capacity. While this will undoubtedly be disappointing news to many potential players, all hope is not lost.
The developer hasn’t completely ruled out the possibility of bringing their debut title to other platforms, so it’s possible that might still happen at some point in the future.
Quite a few early access titles do this when their full version is ready, yet there are others that take longer to reach new audiences.
It will likely depend on the interest the title will garner over the course of its stay in early access, so we’ll have to wait for an official announcement from Dreamlit inc. before we can say for sure.
Nonetheless, we’re keeping our fingers crossed that Towers of Aghasba will eventually be released on Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch, as that would simply mean that more players can discover the history of its open world and meet the strange creatures inhabiting it.
