Defiance 2050 now has a clearly defined content release roadmap for us to follow! Trion Worlds have released a plan which offers a general outline of how Defiance 2050 will develop over the next few months - both in regard to the game's plot, and its mechanics.
The upcoming content includes more stuff than you could shake your stick at, what with new classes, new enemy factions, new customisation system and lots more, culminating with proper endgame content, no less.
The content will be spread across three major updates: Trouble in Paradise, Shadows Over Paradise, and Paradise Lost, and the names are quite telling in the regard of what sort of novelties they'll be packing upon release.
We can expect two entirely new classes, as well as the introduction of the Demolitionist for all players to use. A whole new threat is coming that the developers have been keeping under the wraps, with promises of it evolving as time goes on - its eventual final stage being proper endgame dungeons and bosses.
To prepare players for the mysterious new enemy, Trion will also release a revamped character customisation system, new empowerment mechanics and more, and the devs hope to change how the game plays entirely by the time this content roadmap is fully out and about. Interesting stuff! Let's hope Trion have this fully figured out.
