Update: The Prisma Dimensions website is now live, revealing that “the first iteration of the Hyper Scape” arrives on July 2. Players can also sign up for what’s likely the battle royale’s closed beta.
Original: Ubisoft is reportedly preparing to set its foot in the battle royale arena by teasing a new game later today that bears the codename Prima Dimensions.
Industry insider Rod Breslau quotes sources as saying that Prima Dimensions is “actually a new AAA multiplayer fast-paced FPS Battle Royale” called Hyper Scape.
Ubisoft Montreal, known for its work on popular multiplayer tactical shooter Rainbow Six Siege, is said to lead development.

According to Breslau, Hyper Scape will be free-to-play and set in a “futuristic virtual world”. The game will initially launch on PC, coming to consoles later this year alongside crossplay support.
The battle royale’s closed beta is said to start next week, Hyper Scape then opening its gates to all interested players on July 12.
The game is “being built with streamers in mind in a full partnership with Twitch with never seen levels of integration from a big game before”. Watchers will be able to impact ongoing matches with “with game-changing events”.
We’ll likely learn more about Hyper Scape and how Ubisoft intends to tackle battle royale later today.
