Diablo Immortal is in big trouble as of today, thanks to the launch of Undecember - a game so stunning that you’d be forgiven for believing it to be the first truly next gen game.
However, it’s a fully-fledged mobile and PC action RPG that features cross-platform play across iOS and Android phones and tablets, and PC devices.
You can take advantage of each platforms range of control options too, as Undecember features touch, controller, and mouse and keyboard support depending on your preference.
It launches today with support for a whopping 11 different languages, including English, German, French, and Japanese.
You play as a Rune Hunter - a mighty warrior that’s tasked with preventing the 13 Evil God Serpents from causing the apocalypse.
As you can expect from an action RPG, that involves slaughtering countless enemies, collecting loot, XP, and gold from their corpses.
The story plays out over ten unique chapters, with challenging additional modes like the Chaos Dungeon, Spire of Barrier, Void Rift, and Raids making up the remainder of your play time.
Where Undecember differs from a typical Diablo-like is in its character progression. While loot and XP still play a big part in increasing your power, how you choose to build your character is up to you.
You see, there are no classes in Undecember. Instead of being limited to playing as a Barbarian, you can change things up on the fly thanks to its skill-based systems.
That actually sets it apart from most action RPGs, but it’s probably closest to Path of Exile in design, allowing you to truly tune your character to your own playstyle.
You don’t have to wait to check it out either, as Undecember is available right now on PC and both mobile platforms, iOS and Android.
To celebrate the launch, developer and publisher Line Games is hosting in-game events and festivals, which offer a bunch of rewards just for playing.
