Unheard is a 'story-driven audio drama with puzzle elements' where players will have to try and solve various heinous crimes solely through the use of sound.
Unheard release date has recently been announced, with the game now slated for a launch before the end of the month. Its primary driver being audio cues, Unheard will try to unseat the importance of visual input, at least to some extent.
In Unheard, players will player the role of a time-travelling detective who can only use the sense of sound during his chronologically-insulting prowls. In order to solve crimes, then, players will have to try and use what audio they get in whatever way they can.
The game is marketed as 'detective fiction', which alone sets it in a particular niche, and that's before accounting for its curious gameplay mechanics. Unheard will throw at you the entire non-linear plot of any given case from the very start, allowing you with untangling the mess as you go along.
Unheard is currently slated for a March 29th release date, so there's not a long time to go before we get the chance to see what the fuss is all about.
