After seeing critical acclaim, DONTNOD's latest offering - Vampyr - is not done with us just yet. There is more blood to be drained still, as one would say if they were trying just a tiny bit too hard. In any case, there's stuff coming our way stil.
Developers have announced that their vampiric fable will be getting two new modes of play so as to enhance the game's already considerable replayability and make things more interesting should the atmosphere die down a bit. Alongside the content update, we'll also be getting more hotfixes as well.
Of the two new game modes, Story will allow for a lighter, more narrative-focused playthrough that deemphasizes combat, if you're primarily in it for the story. On the other hand, Hard mode will do quite the opposite, by reducing the amount of XP received and increasing the combat difficulty across the board.
This update will allow players to further customise the sort of experience that they want to enjoy in Vampyr, thus working both for those who wished that the game eased off in regard to incessant fighting, and for those who wanted a much more vicious, more unforgiving type of RPG.
The update will also bring with it a slew of fixes and optimisations, and the game can now be bought via Steam at a 25% discount, courtesy of the incoming hotfix itself.
