Much can be said about Warframe - one of the oddest, most niche mainstream titles of the modern F2P gaming scene, as much of an oxymoron as that might be - but one would be hard-pressed not to admit its considerable success. With the release of the game's latest big cinematic quest, The Sacrifice, being somewhat light on non-story related content, many players have been wondering just what it is that Digital Extremes have cooking in the background.
The answer to this, and to many other questions, will undoubtedly come in less than 24 hours at the time of writing this article, courtesy of the game's annual fan convention: TennoCon.
Fans have gotten used to major content reveals and, occasionally, truly unexpected stuff coming up on these conventions. Last year, for example, the developers came out and announced Warframe's first open-world expansion which was an impressive feat for what was up until then essentially a spruced-up corridor shooter.
TennoCon 2018 will be featuring a whole lot of stuff, including but not limited to art displays, parties, partner panels, language learning workshops, cosplay contests, developer meet-and-greets and more. In case you're interested in the game but haven't had the chance to travel to London, Ontario, by far the most interesting highlight of this year's TennoCon will assuredly be TennoLive - essentially an upscaled developer stream where exciting reveals and the like will be made.
Luckily, TennoLive will be streamed for everyone to view completely free of charge, at 3 PM PST on 7th of July. Even better, should you watch the show for at least 30 minutes via Twitch, and have your Twitch and Warframe accounts linked, you'll be able to have a free Ash Prime Warframe added to your inventory.
As per usual, whatever gets announced on this TennoCon (and it's bound to be big, since Digital Extremes have been fairly open about preparing something massive to reveal this year) will first be making its way to PC, with consoles following suit further down the line.
