Publisher and developer Wargaming, of World of Tanks fame, today announced the launch of Wargaming UK, a studio already staffed by a “veteran team” of 60.
Wargaming UK has been confirmed to be working on a brand-new IP that “is aimed at the next generation of FTP gamers” and looks to double in number over the coming year.

“We are in a unique position – we have the backing of a global company, AND we have autonomy over our own creative direction – it’s really exciting. We are proud to be a part of Wargaming’s enduring legacy, as well as its reputation as a great company to work for.”, said Studio Head Sean Decker.
“We want to continue building this quality across our UK team, with 30 positions currently open for application. We really believe that we can be the best place to make games in the UK”, he continued.
Wargaming UK is seen as “an evolution of Wargaming’s network” which now “extends to over 4500 employees across 18 network locations”.
No further details were shared on Wargaming UK’s mysterious IP, although we’re bound to hear more as development goes on.
