The annual Skulls for the Skull throne event, now rebranded as Warhammer Skulls, is now live. This year’s celebration of all games Warhammer kicking off with a suite of announcements, including that of a free digital bundle that players can grab on Gog.com, which includes classic strategy game Warhammer: Shadow of the Horned Rat.
Published and developed by Mindscape, Warhammer: Shadow of the Horned Rat was released in 1995 and tasks players with leading an Imperial army against Skaven and Greenskin forces. You can recruit and customize more than 25 units as you play through the game’s linear campaign, attempting to thwart the plans of Skaven Grey Seer Thanquol and Orc Warboss Urgat Rip-Eye.
Aside from the free copy of Warhammer: Shadow of the Horned Rat, the digital bundle also includes a set of wallpapers and a 15% discount code for physical Warhammer merchandise.
A World Eater-themed Black Library sampler gives you a taste of how Warhammer 40,000 books read, while the Rain of Mercy PDF acts as both an introduction into the popular grimdark universe and the Warhammer 40K Roleplay: Wrath & Glory game.
When picking up the bundle, you’ll also receive the Warhammmer: Mark of Chaos art album, also in PDF format, alongside the Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus original soundtrack, in both WAV and FLAC formats.
You can find more about the promotion on Gog.com. The storefront also features a series of new and discounted games that make use of Games Workshop’s popular license, such as Necromunda: Hired Gun, Blood Bowl 2, and others.
