Publisher and developer Funtomata has announced that whimsical point-and-click adventure game Asfalia: Fear is out now on PC.
The second entry in the family-friendly series promises an approachable blend of hand-drawn storybook visuals and relaxed puzzles, while also featuring many a lighthearted conversation with fully-voiced characters.
Asfalia: Fear Out Now
Asfalia: Fear follows Charlie, a child lost inside the eponymous, colorful world where “emotions come alive.”
Helping Charlie on his journey is fiery companion, Lily, who helps the protagonist solve puzzles and uncover hidden objects.
Outside of the main story, collectible stickers and a variety of mini-games provide neat little distractions that can become separate objectives of their own.
As the developer notes, Asfalia: Fear is “perfect for children and families looking for a heartwarming tale that combines emotional depth with playful adventure,” appealing to both the little ones and the inner child of us grumpy grown-ups.
At the time of writing, the title includes voice and test support for both the English and French languages. Brazilian, Spanish, German, and Japanese text translation is expected “in the near future.”
You can get a look at how Asfalia: Fear plays in the trailer embedded below and find it on Steam, priced at $7.99 or your regional equivalent.
A 20% introductory discount is active until January 21. In addition, you can pick up both the sequel and its 2023 predecessor through a handy bundle.
