World War Z might not have as many guns as your average Battlefield game does, but there is a fair few to pick and choose from, with each having access to numerous upgrades, too. Here, we'll teach you how to upgrade weapons in World War Z.
World War Z weapon upgrades are handled in specialised menus, and seemingly cannot be shared between players. In other words - your version of the AR15 will be different from that which another player might have equipped, even though you've both been using the same in-game AR15 item.
How to Upgrade Guns in World War Z?</h2>
The way to go about upgrading guns in World War Z is for you to access the 'Customisation' menu while you're queueing up for a match. There, you'll have the option to choose 'Equipment', and then 'Weapons', where you'll be presented with a hefty list of things to invest in.
You will need two things to upgrade your firearms (note that melee cannot be upgraded at the time of writing): weapon EXP, and Supplies, which are essentially WWZ's currency in practice. While you'll be earning EXP for your guns simply through using them, match completions will be your only real source of Supplies, and the amount you get increases with the difficulty. Base difficulty level will, for example, net you 150 Supplies per a successful level completion, which is enough to unlock the first upgrade level for any of your leveled guns.
In any case, most weapons have got two dedicated upgrade trees to go through, and you can freely pick and choose whichever you might prefer. Each successive upgrade costs more, though, so you'll have to plan your Supply expenditures accordingly.
Upgrades include larger magazines, muzzle devices such as suppressors (great for stealth), optics, and customised furniture, and you can, in fact, opt to go with a lower-level version of your gun, if you so desire. Heavy weapons, however, cannot be upgraded at all.
