Ubisoft has announced that its racing MMO The Crew will be delayed. Originally due out next month, it will now be released on December 2.
While there is some consolation for fans looking forward to the game - there’s a second Beta coming to PS4 and Xbox One - there’s unfortunately no such luck for PC gamers, who’ll have to wait until the full release.
“Our philosophy remains to deliver the best game possible. We’re all committed to delivering a revolutionary experience in the driving genre and we can’t wait for The Crew to be in the hands of the players.” said Julian Gerighty, The Crew’s creative director.
Ubisoft’s high-profile racer is the latest of several big-name titles to be delayed this year, including Batman: Arkham Knight, Pillars of Eternity, Dragon Age: Inquisition and PC GTA V. Leading some people (like me) to wonder why studios bother announcing set dates so early on.
As delays go, however, at least this one’s not too lengthy. While you wait for the game, you can check out our recent preview to see what we thought.
