DICE LA has announced that their collaboration with Battlefield 4 fans, Operation Outbreak, is now available for free on Origin. The DLC map had input and feedback every step of the way from the Battlefield community on the official forums.
The result of the fan collaboration is a dense infantry-focused jungle map.
According to producer David Sirland, “Involving the players and letting them participate in the creation of a map from the ground up is something we’ve never done before. Seeing our player’s passion and dedication has been a great inspiration for us. When working with a very active community, releasing several updates to the map per week, we realised how powerful such a tight feedback loop can be.”
The map coincides with the Battlefield 4 Fall Update, also out today.
