The universally acclaimed Heroes of Might and Magic is back with a new developer behind it. Even with this change, the fifth installment of the Heroes of Might and Magic did not deviate much from the original plot.
Nival Interactive, the new developer of Heroes of Might and Magic V spent all its effort, and practically walked through fire, to ensure that the concept of this well-accepted turn-base strategy game will be maintained. They assured that the very thing that fans love about the Heroes of Might and Magic series will all be present.
Minor improvement worked on by Nival gave Heroes of Might and Magic V an extreme impact on this famous game.
The visual execution of Heroes of Might and Magic V is a magnificent improvement to this new version. Graphics on the combat animation, color and spellbinding execution, even when you zoom your camera is splendid.
Combine this visual presentation and the classic charm of the old game, Heroes of Might and Magic V will surely captivate you. The addiction that you almost lost for seven years when Heroes of Might and Magic is gone will get back a hundred folds.
The new skills and new creatures including the design tweaks applied by Nival will bring this game to the top of mind arena.
Heroes of Might and Magic V proves superior that you can already erase in your mind the frustrating transition from 2D to 3D graphics of the last version. Nival successfully executed the 3D graphics presentation and thus the screen looks superb. This makes gaming such an awesome experience in this new version.

Aside form the spectacular graphics, the gameplay of Heroes of Might and Magic is likewise desirable. The action builds up from a quite too easy start spanning five missions, literally preparing you for the challenge that is yet to come. Consider them your training missions, and when you move to the 6th mission, this will surely engage you on a more difficult pace, too long and this is the most harrowing level of the game, I am sure.
Heroes of Might and Magic V is surely the version you have been waiting for all those years. However, like any other developments, there are some minor loopholes in this version. The sound execution may possibly take away the charm of this game. It does not match what you see on the screen and the overland map sound is unexciting. However, if you are not particular with the sound, then this may not be such an issue for you.
During the game one particular minor obstacle can also be experienced, the lack of editing tools to assist you. There are no map generator and the multiplayer map is quite buggy. Regarding the editing tools, the developer commits that it will be available for download soon. However, until then, we may need to settle with the present set-up.
This shortcoming notwithstanding, Heroes of Might and Magic V is a splendid gaming system and very addictive like any other Heroes of Might and Magic series. This version may however, is the best because of the improvements, which Nival added.
All factions you wanted to be presented are indeed here in this fifth version. The Haven faction with its angels and griffins, the Inferno faction, the Sylvan Elves, the Undead Cyclops and Wizardry Academy including the Dungeon Dwelling faction are all present with little tweaks that improved the game entirely.
There is also that familiar overworld and underworld explorations and the usual heroes needing to gain experience on the battlefield, they can also cast spells and recruit armies. The old concept and I am sure you are familiar with it, combined with the new creatures and design tweaks improved the game significantly. This I am sure will captivate turn base strategy fans and gain a lot more.
The old concept and the new improvements make Heroes of Might and Magic V well-balanced and proved the gameplay to be solid. The AI mode is likewise as exciting as the other Heroes of Might and Magic versions.

It was mentioned that the multiplayer is quite buggy, but if you are playing with your friends, Heroes of Might and Magic V will still be such a wonderful experience for all of you. I am truly spellbound by the splendor of this game, hooray to Nival for bringing back Heroes of Might and Magic.
