Hogwarts Legacy might focus on your journey as a student of magic, but quests like Ghost of Our Love also see you sharpening your skills as a detective. During it, you need to find the Floating Candles Map solution, which rewards you with a cozy new scarf.
To gain access to Hogwarts Legacy’s Ghost of Our Love quest and its Floating Candles treasure map, you’ll have to progress the main story until after the Trials of Merlin main quest.
Hogwarts Legacy Ghost of Our Love Quest and Floating Candles Treasure Map Solution
The next main quest is different for each of the four houses in which you can be sorted, but they all eventually lead you to the Ghost of our Love quest and the Floating Candles treasure map.
In the case of Ravenclaw students, you’ll find the map during the Ollivander’s Heirloom quest, upon reaching the top of the Owlery while looking for additional bird statues. Examining the map, you’ll notice a forest, entrance, stone bridge, and candles, all hints you can use to piece things together.
If you’re looking for a quick Floating Map solution, read on. With the map in your inventory, fast travel to the Forbidden Forest Floo Flame (or walk over if it’s not yet unlocked).
Head left from it and cast Lumos as you approach the stone bridge. Three floating candles appear and you’ll want to follow them.
They take you into the Forbidden Forest, so you might have to deal with enemies along the way, which is why you’ll want to have an offensive spell equipped.
Aside from any potential threats that linger in the forest, you simply need to keep an eye on where the candles go and follow the same path.
Eventually, you’ll reach an area with a table and two chairs. Upon approaching, even more floating candles appear, as does a chest from which you can collect your reward – the Treasure-Seeker’s Scarf appearance.
The Floating Candles map solution above worked for us during nighttime, so it’s possible it won’t work during the day. Should that be the case, you can advance time from the map screen, by pressing F.
