The cartoon-ish boxing game, which lets gamers ‘break’ the face of their opponent, is the first game from under the new Freestyle brand.
The new EA Sports brand label is to address the ”growing, more casual sports gaming audience.” FaceBreaker to be breaking faces in the ring this September.
Any game released under Freestyle will be pick-up-and-play casual games; FaceBreaker fits the bill and so was chosen as the premier debut. EA say the game will be released this September and its coming to Xbox360, PS3 and Nintendo Wii.
”EA Sports Freestyle will be a perfect complement to our core portfolio of games that our loyal fans are deeply passionate about,” said EA Sports president Peter Moore.
He said this is going to ”provide compelling opportunities for new audiences looking for a lighter gaming experience and an easier entry point into EA Sports.”
