Ghost of Yotei’s PC release date sees the standalone sequel finally shedding its PS5 exclusivity, giving us the chance to join protagonist Atsu in her quest for vengeance. Her pursuit of the Yotei Six – the gang of outlaws that killed her family and left her for dead – sees her venturing across Ezo (the Edo-period name for today’s Hokkaido prefecture), a land whose beauty was evident from the very first trailer.
Like its predecessor, Ghost of Yotei is a third-person action-adventure game, yet its open world harbors more freedom, allowing us to pick which member of the Yōtei Six we hunt down first. Other bounty targets also await, while weapon sensei are all too eager to teach the protagonist new skills that turn her into an even deadlier warrior.
Ghost of Yotei PC Release Date
Ghost of Yotei’s PC release date remains a mystery at this time, which isn’t all that surprising. Its PS5 counterpart launches on October 2, 2025, but first-party PlayStation games often benefit from a period of exclusivity, during which they’re only playable on Sony’s console.

That being said, the publisher has actively pushed to bring its games to PC over the last couple of years.
This makes it very likely that those of us who enjoy mixing and matching hardware to squeeze every bit of graphical detail out of our games will eventually get to explore Ezo alongside Atsu.
When exactly that will happen is hard to say at the momen. Previously, it took between one and three years to see PS5 exclusives making the jump to PC.
The period varies from title to title, which makes estimating it tricky. Our best, possibly safest, guess is that Ghost of Yotei will release on PC at some point in 2027.
The PC versions of PlayStation exclusives often include all of the content as well as a series of extra graphical features, making them the closest thing to a definitive version of these titles, barring any optimization issues.
This might make the wait worth it for some, but if you’re feeling impatient and want to try out the new weapons included in the sequel, there sadly is no alternative to purchasing a PS5 or PS5 Pro.
The publisher will undoubtedly share more details once it has locked in Ghost of Yotei’s PC release date. Although their stories aren’t connected, Ghost of Tsushima has already been ported to PC and should do an excellent job of riding us over until the sequel makes the jump.
